I love a skincare routine that feels good, works for real life, and does not take forever.
As much as I love trying cute beauty products, my everyday routine has to be simple. Between mom life, teaching, cheer things, errands, content, and all the random little things that fill a day, I need products I can actually keep up with.
Nothing too complicated. Nothing that takes 12 steps. Just a few favorites that help my skin feel clean, hydrated, glowy, and a little more put together.
I rounded up the skincare products I have been using from my Amazon storefront, and these are the ones I keep reaching for.

Step 1: Cleanse
I always feel better when I start with a clean face, especially at the end of the day.
A good cleanser is one of those simple products that makes such a difference. I like something that leaves my skin feeling fresh without making it feel tight or stripped. Whether I wore makeup that day or just sunscreen and mom-life chaos, cleansing is the step that makes me feel like I am officially resetting.
Product: TATCHA The Rice Wash
Why I like it: It feels gentle, easy, and perfect for everyday use.
Step 2: Add hydration
This is the step that makes my skin feel more alive.
I love products that add moisture without feeling too heavy. Anything that gives my skin that soft, hydrated, slightly glowy look is an immediate yes for me.
Depending on the day, this might be a serum, toner, essence, or hydrating product that I use after cleansing and before moisturizer.
Product: Glow Recipe Watermelon Niacinamide Dew Drops
Why I like it: It gives my skin that fresh, hydrated feeling and layers nicely with the rest of my routine.
Step 3: Treat
This is where I like to add in any products that help with texture, brightness, uneven tone, or just making my skin look a little smoother.
I try not to overdo it because my skin does better when I keep things simple and consistent. A treatment product does not need to be used every single day to be helpful. Sometimes a few times a week is enough.

Why I like it: It feels like a little extra step without making my routine feel overwhelming.
Step 4: Moisturize
Moisturizer is non-negotiable for me.
Even if I am tired, even if I am keeping everything else simple, I need moisturizer. I love one that feels comfortable, gives my skin a soft finish, and works well under makeup or on its own.
This is one of those products that makes my skin feel instantly better, especially after a long day.

Why I like it: It keeps my skin feeling soft and hydrated without feeling too heavy.
Step 5: Eye cream or little extra care
I do not always have time for a full routine, but I do love adding a little extra care when I can.
An eye cream, lip mask, facial oil, or soothing product makes the routine feel more like self-care and less like another task on the to-do list.
It is a tiny step, but sometimes those tiny steps make the whole routine feel more special.

Why I like it: It feels like a simple little treat at the end of the routine.
Step 6: Sunscreen in the morning
For morning skincare, sunscreen is always important.
Especially with California sun, school drop-off, errands, beach days, lake days, and just being outside, I try to make SPF part of my everyday routine. I like sunscreen that layers well, does not feel too greasy, and this specific tint works like makeup when I want to look a little more put together.
Product to link: Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Broad Spectrum SPF 45 Hyaluronic Cloud Sheer Tint Moisturizer (the LONGEST name, I know 😂)
Why I like it: It is easy to use daily and does not make my morning routine feel complicated.
My realistic morning routine
My morning routine is usually pretty quick.
Cleanse or rinse
Hydrating product
Moisturizer
Sunscreen
A little makeup if I have time
Some mornings are calm and cute with iced coffee and time to get ready. Other mornings are very much rushing out the door and hoping I remembered everything. So I love having products that make my skin feel good without needing a whole production.
My nighttime routine
Nighttime is when I like to reset.
Cleanse
Hydrating product
Treatment, if I am using one that night
Moisturizer
Lip mask or eye cream
It is simple, but it feels like a little way to take care of myself after a busy day.
Why I like keeping it simple
I have learned that the routine I actually stick with is always better than the routine that looks perfect but takes too much effort.
I love products that fit into real life. The ones I can use before school, after cheer practice, after a beach day, or when I am tired and just want to get ready for bed.
For me, skincare is not about doing everything. It is about having a few products that make me feel fresh, glowy, and a little more like myself.
